Paget staff donate to Salvation Army Appeal

JPUH Salvation Army Appeal v2Staff at the James Paget University Hospitals have donated food, drink and toiletries to help the homeless and families in need of some extra support
A collecting campaign, organised by Compliance Manager Julie Smith, was held between the 10 and 14 September to help boost stock of much needed basic items
A collection bin was placed in the Aubergine staff restaurant and over 100 tins, packets and toiletries were donated
The staff and volunteers of the Salvation Army in Great Yarmouth have experienced a massive increase in requests for help from homeless people and families in great need. Stocks of non-perishable food, hot drinks and toiletries are very low and they expect the situation to worsen for local people over the winter months
Julie said “A big thank you to all my colleagues who have generously donated to this appeal. I have had lots of very positive feedback and many staff felt it was a great idea. The donations are still being received and I am more than happy to receive them for this very worthwhile cause”
