Be with Burma

3in1 LogoRev Chris Warner has organised an event at his 3in1 venue behind Trinity United Reformed Church hall at the City end of Unthank Road to raise urgent funds for Burma through an evening of film, music, poetry and reflection. Will you support it?

Chris says: "As a response to the devastation caused by cyclone Nargis in Burma, with tens of thousands dead and many more missing, I am working with others to present a special fundraising event to try and make a
difference as part of Christian Aid Week. I have chosen to do this through Christian Aid because they already have people on the ground in Burma and I trust the organisation to make early and effective use their of any funds we raise

"Be with Burma" is on this Friday  evening, 16th May (7.30 – 9.30)

Money raised will go to the Christian Aid Burma Appeal

The evening will present:
  • Film on project work and community action in many devastated countries
  • Reflections
  • Music
  • Poetry
Refreshments will be available

Tickets are a minimum of £5 (pledge as much as you want)

There are 30 places only and these must be booked with an appropriate pledge before the
evening (binding whether or not ticket holder arrives) – a promise to give…

If you can’t come but would still like to pledge to the evenings appeal please, please do so

Pledges should not detract from any giving you would make to Christian Aid week. The aim of the evening is to support the work being done for Christian Aid Week by all our churches and volunteers and add to that commitment for this particular appeal

You can bring your donation on the night as long as you commit to coming.

This is a way to be with Burma, in an event which entertains as well as bringing you to a place of reflection and solidarity.

Come, now is the time for action...
