Humbling - Luke 1:25

HUMBLED He has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly
Luke 1:25

Have you noticed how we see Luke 1:25 in action so many times lately?

The BBC has been humbled with revelations about news readers and presenters…

ITV breakfast show shake up with revelations about the behaviour of its celebrity hosts…

The NHS the national treasure, but sadly became an idol in many peoples’ eyes – but nurses strike, consultants and Junior doctors strike – some cases well justified but now Christmas day cover only…

And so many sad cases of medical errors and malpractice…

Astronomers and cosmologists needing to sound more humble as the Big Bang has been largely silenced with the latest revelations from the James Webb Space telescope – so where did matter come from?  Try Hebrews 11 1-3

Biologists – what will it take for them to admit that DNA the cell and life are way too complex for the blind chance of evolution to conjure up.  Imagine childbirth that nearly works – a heart that nearly beats… The genetic code is so sophisticated that new discoveries are still wowing scientists, and many do realise that it is a supreme example of design but due to academic peer reviews etc. they are largely gaged

Certain emergency services… terrible corruption and malpractice

World superpowers and national governments are some of the most guilty… corruption, warmongering, abuse of power…

We all have to watch ourselves that we don’t go down the same path, the Bible does not ‘pull its punches’ we have to see how God has a way bringing down the proud…

Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.  Proverbs 26:12
