Buzz Wire champion receives prize 

Great Yarmouth Seafarers Centre, for the second year running, held their extremely popular Buzz Wire competition at the 2017 Maritime Festival.  The two people who achieved the fastest time to reach the end of the wire without causing the buzz (meaning they’d hit the wire) each won a prize of tea for two at the 4 star Imperial Hotel on North Drive

In the photograph, you can see Rev Peter Paine, Port Chaplain, presenting one of these prizes to Alison Pettafor, who had achieved the target in the shortest time of 56 seconds

Alison said “I did this on only my third attempt and I’m going to share it with my partner as a birthday treat for me in a couple of weeks’ time”
