Jesus still heals today

As a church we go out into the town on a regular basis to offer prayer to anyone who would like it. Maybe for a physical condition, a situation they may be concerned about, a loved one, or in fact anything at all. A few people say they are not interested and we respect that and move on. Some thank us for offering but say they don't have need of prayer at that time. Others are very grateful and do as us to pray for various needs they or their family might have

It is especially exciting when we pray for someone who needs physical healing and as a result of our prayer hear them say that the pain has eased or even gone all together! Jesus said “These signs will follow those who believe....in my name they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover”. That's why, we as believers, go out and do what we do

Recently we prayed for a person who had bad back pain which was bad when standing up and sitting down. After prayer that person stood up and sat down a few times and said the pain had gone. Another individual, who had no feeling in one of their feet due to a condition they had, told us that after prayer they now had full feeling in that foot and could feel the cold air on it! That person was wearing sandals and it was a cold day!

A lady came to church recently limping and in great pain with damage to her Achilles tendon. The doctors said it would take a few weeks to heal. After prayer, she first walked around with no pain, and then she ran round the church with no pain, and then ended up jumping up and down on it with no pain!

As Christians we pray in the name of Jesus. He is the healer not us. When He was on the earth He walked around healing the sick. Although He died, God raised Him from the dead and He is alive today. The Bible says that “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever”. In other words, what He did then He still does today

So, if you see us in the town and we approach you to offer prayer, please give us the joy of praying for you to see what God will do for you. Failing that, find a church like ours that prays for the sick, approach them, and ask them to pray for you
