It is hard for most of us to see the hand of God working for our good in the trials of life. To try to reason why the loss, the pain, the disappointment, the shame, the humiliation, and the tears have come is to doubt the wisdom, the love, and the power of God. When Job tried to reason out the cause of the calamities that fell with lighting rapidity during a single day, he could only say I am full of dove leftconfusion. Job 10:15, He saw through the sorrow, the loss, the humiliation, and whispers the words, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” God was pleased with Job who stood the fiery tests brought by the challenge and insinuations of the Devil. All he saw was ruin, all he heard, was biting words from his friends. Still we have the record that he sinned not. Nor charged God foolishly Job.1: 22.  Every disappointment is God’s appointment, an opportunity to grow in grace and to become like the divine pattern. Every trial is but another proof of divine interest. Trials are God’s workmen Dove rightto refine our characters and help us to become like Him. We should not forget how God has led us in the past. Let’s count our blessings and be courageous. We should be confident that he will never fail us, and that we will gain the victory. When you are in a hurry, and your car tyre punctures for the third time on a very wet day, and you can still smile – that is victory. When you are forgotten or neglected, or purposely taken for granted, yet rejoice, glorying for Christ’s sake in the insult or the oversight – that is victory. When you are misunderstood, misinterpreted, misconstrued by your peers, when people slander your good intentions, and you take it all in patient, loving silence - that is victory. When you are entitled to receive honest credit, and someone else steps in and receives what justly belongs to you, and it makes no difference in your feelings or your service- that is victory. When you can see another preferred before you, and you love him none the less. Rejoicing in the advancement of even a pretended friend, when not one spot of envy lurks in your heart- that is victory! When you can endure any interruption, any interference, any inconvenience, any annoyance, any injustice, as Jesus endured it – that is victory! When you can love your enemies, think no evil, speak no evil, suffer long, seek not your own- that is victory! Do not think my friends, that this experience of victory is impossible. It is not gained by our efforts, but by the power of Jesus. It does not come by our trying but by our trusting. Remember that by his all-prevailing grace victory may be gained, for nothing is impossible with God
